Exploring Forms of a Hairdryer

A hairdryer has always been a fun, stylish and unique form that has let designers explore their wildest dreams  on interesting ninety degree forms. I decided to divide my forms into three categories: cylindrical hairdryers, rectangular hairdryers, and handles for a nozzle. On this page, see what charismatic forms I have designed for a hairdryer!

The Original Hairdryer

Synopsis and Research on the Hairdryer

Most hairdryers have a somewhat cylindrical nozzle and handle, where it is easy to grab and a rounded nozzle for precision when dry your hair and room for the fan on the inside of the hairdryer. Most people use a hair dryer by holding the handle of the hairdryer, but some, if not most hair stylists hold a hair dryer at the nozzle for better precision, hence why I created a few designs that are meant to be held at either the handle or the nozzle. There are some rectangular hairdryers that are also meant for precision and for another way to straighten your hair that is less heat intensive.  There are usually either buttons or sliding tabs to either turn the hairdryer on or off or adjust the heat setting. The connection between the nozzle and the handle are most likely connected through the part of the handle wrapped around part of the nozzle. I decided t not really worry about the manufacturing process or extreme details of a hairdryer and decided to focus more on the overall form that could be a design of a hairdryer.
